UNIDROIT
Institut international pour l'unification du droit privé - international institution whose purpose is to study the needs and methods for harmonizing and co-ordinating private law as between states or groups of states – has prepared, inter alia, the UNIDROIT Principles of International Commercial
Contracts (PICC), which constitute potential aid to the interpretation of the CISG.

Centre For Comparative And Foreign Law Studies
R research center in Rome, which is a joint venture of UNIDROIT, the University of Rome ‘La Sapienza’, and the Italian National Research Council. Its principal areas of research are the CISG and the PICC, and the center publishes the database of international case law UNILEX.
